TransUnion has acquired Financial Healthcare Systems LLC (FHS). The Denver-based company has worked with TransUnion Healthcare for more than two years to offer improved point-of-service collections and reduced bad debt for healthcare providers by integrating FHSClearQuote™ with TransUnion’s patented self-pay and charity care solution – Revenue ManagerSM. This acquisition will allow TransUnion to further integrate FHS’ patient payment estimation solution with TransUnion Healthcare HFMA® Peer Reviewed solutions*.

TransUnion already sells software to verify patient identity and address at registration, determine ability to pay, and match patients with assistance programs or charity care at the time of treatment. The company also owns MedData LLC, a Charlotte, N.C.-based claims clearinghouse.

For health payers, TransUnion offers software to assess contracted physician groups’ performance, analyze medical transaction data and improve pay-for-performance reporting.
